And just like that, we’re wrapping up our first month of 2020! Time flies when you’re having fun, and we have had so much fun over the past 18 years working with our #brides, our amazing hair and makeup artists, and our countless talented partners to help them bring their hair and makeup beauty visions to life! We are so thankful to get to do what we love every day! 💄💋✨💗
As we kick off another year of beautifying, simplifying, and de-stressing, we wanted to celebrate a whole 18 years of hair, makeup, weddings, shoots, joy, fun, and love with a little look-back, celebrating the little moments and lessons that have continued to shape MG Hair and Makeup!

Since 2002, MG Hair and Makeup has been the nation’s award-winning, premier on-site hair and makeup services. Makeup artists and hairstylists affiliated with MG Hair and Makeup always strive to be the best in the industry and provide consistently superior service for all they do — in-home blowouts to weddings to photo shoots and fashion runways across the globe. Taking a trip down memory lane is always a bit crazy to think about, especially when it was a time when the internet was new and there was no formal on-site hair and makeup agency. Armed with our favorite hairspray (which has since been discontinued), hot tools, and a full-to-the-brim makeup kit, our small team of about 20 artists in 7 different market areas across the country started changing the way hair and makeup was done on wedding days.
Our goal was to provide on-location hair and makeup services for brides and their bridesmaids, mothers and other family members to look the way each wanted to look. Back then it was a fairly prescribed look that every bride had. Bridal hair and makeup in certain cities had an even more distinct look and as more and more couples moved away from their hometowns to start adulting, they went back to their hometowns to get married. In doing so, the dread of potentially looking *not* like themselves was an overwhelming problem.
Our secondary goal was to provide an opportunity for artists to do what they loved and leave the business side to us. So many amazing artists, especially in 2002, did not have the opportunity to do what they loved if they weren’t already great at business. We wanted to change that and connect artists with those who wanted their services. For us, it was a win-win.

We don’t know where we’d be without our stellar artists! Our artists have a wealth of knowledge and experience including TV shows, major motion pictures, magazine editorials and fashion shows. All are trained and tested to meet our high standards and arrive at your door with all the tools and products necessary to achieve your personalized look.
Artists and stylists with MG Hair and Makeup do not restrict themselves to just one product line but use a wide variety of products to compliment the individual’s skin type and tone for whatever the occasion. Our goal is for others to be captivated by your radiant glow so that you look like you–only better.
With every trial run, engagement shoot, wedding day, and special occasion, our team takes great care to focus on all of the little things, the logistics, and the details so you can fully enjoy the precious moments of the day. When all is said and done, we not only want you to look as beautiful as possible, but also to look back and remember that you felt beautiful and enjoyed the whole process leading up to the ceremony.

We are so thankful to our brides, who trust us with their beauty vision for them as well as for friends and family on the big day! We absolutely love being part of these special moments and helping bring all those desired hair and makeup looks to life. From helping get ready to making sure everyone is touched up until the after-party, we want to make sure that every strand is in place, that all foundation is set, and, most importantly, that everyone feels like their best self! We understand that wedding planning can be a bit crazy and overwhelming (like we need to tell you that!), and so however we can help, we want to.
Our hair and makeup team believes that you should be able to look the way you want, how, when and where you want, and with an ease that allows you the bandwidth to take care of everything else your wedding planning craziness requires.
This is our goal for all our clients and it is always a win for us when we hear that we were able to accomplish it for them.
It has been a wonderful, exciting journey and we can’t wait to embark on this year. We don’t take our job lightly, and it is a pleasure and honor to still get to do what we love since 2002.
